Ssgt. Cincotta joined the NY Army National Guard in 1987. He worked in Supply, Armor, and NBC sections. He served along side his father John C. Cincotta in the same unit in Riverhead, Long Island, for about eight years. He transfered to the NY Air National Guard 106 RQW, West Hampton, NY in 1995. He retired after twenty years of service.
