On June 4, 2004 SPC Linden (attached to D Co. 2 BN 162 INF from E Troop 82 CAV) was killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq. His unit was providing direct support to an MP convoy being attacked with improvised explosive devices and rocket propelled grenades.
